Bharat Gupt, A retired Associate Professor in English, who taught at the College of Vocational Studies of the University of Delhi, is an Indian classicist, theatre theorist, sitar and surbahar player, musicologist, cultural analyst, and newspaper columnist.
Dr. Gupt is an expert in ancient Indian texts such as Kamasutra and has delivered several workshops and talks on this book. Kamasutra is an ancient text of fine living and deeper philosophy rather than mere book of erotica as often described by western scholars.
