Senator Dick Durbin continues to fail americans

The Russian war has woken up American national security machinery and they have realized that the supply chains need to have redundancy. US depends on Taiwan for semiconductors and incase of war with China or if China invades Taiwan, US semiconductor supplies will be hurt.

Semiconductor companies are willing to invest in USA and create 30,000 jobs. But the key problem is people. Most of these jobs are specialized and will need people from Taiwan, China, India moving to USA.

Crucially, immigrants already constitute a large presence in nearly all the occupations in the semiconductor industry, regardless of degree levels and skill requirements (Figure 1). Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Assemblers, for instance, is the largest occupation in the sector at 14 percent of the total semiconductor labor force, and requires only a high school degree. The majority of workers within this occupation are also foreign-born, coming mainly from Mexico and Central America. At the other end of the education distribution are Electronics and Electrical Engineers, the third largest occupation, which typically requires an advanced degree. Again, half of these workers are foreign-born, with India and China being the largest origin countries. [Source]

Immigration reforms are key if USA wants to decouple itself from Taiwan and ensure its national security or it faces a future very much like Germany.

Senate Democrats like Dick Durbin are vile people who do not want more Indians in USA and hence will hurt their own country to pursue their narrow political and racist agenda.
